Printcare PLC
Many times I have asked my colleagues why participate in competitions where you are judged against another. Many times I have asked my colleagues does winning an award truly make you a better company in that field vis a vis your fellow corporate citizens.
I have come to the conclusion that entering competitions exposes your company to others and thus forces you to conduct yourselves in a manner that would prove to be a good role model for others to follow. It also allows others to learn of the ‘best practices’ that your own company employs thus bettering their own standards.
Printcare is not a large company. But we pride ourselves in excelling in what we do and rate ourselves amongst the best in our chosen fields across the world. Indeed we are arguably the number one company in the world in our business which is producing packaging for tea bags.
But simply saying so is not enough. Winning these awards is also reminder that we must deliver; And that requires us to execute on the promise of how god we are. We are thankful to the National Chamber of Commerce for validating our excellence on the scoreboard. But as someone said you cannot play the game if you are only watching the scoreboard. its time to get our eyes back on the work ahead of us.
